Hi, I am now creating a model in Cadence with some "memory effect", and wish to have some help.
I want to set a voltage source value as an integration of another value. I want the integration time to be from a fixed amount of time ago to any transient time now. Can anybody please advise how I...
Hello,
I simulated a dipole antenna in HFSS but the resulted impedance is not as expected as the ideal value. The antenna is made of two straight metal lines, with a rectangular in between, as in the picture.
The S11 has greatest loss at 920MHz, and the corresponding impedance is around 70-5j...
Hello,
I want to run Monte Carlo simulation in ADE XL, but an error message 5052 pops up and says there is no statistical data generated.
Is the statical data something related to the Monte Carlo model? The process that I am using is TSMC 180. In the folder where model files are stored I...
Hello,
I am having a trouble when tring to run a Monter Carlo simulation. The message says no statistical data generated, as below.
I am using TSMC 180. In the model folder I only find one file. Judging from the default setup of the model library, it seems that this is a...
Thanks for the reply.
I tried to install to /tmp, but still doesn't work. I've set the all permissions of the install directory to "Create and delete files"

Solved. It turns out the "Spaces" refers to the space character, not the space for storage.
Hello,
I am installing Cadence IC617 with InstallScape. When I load my local media and click Start, it says this error:
Invalid download directory for release IC_06.17.700_lnx86. Spaces in the directory path are not allowed.
I tried change the Default Download Directory in Preferences, but...
Thanks for reply. It's a single color imager only sensing the light intensity, so I guess blue and longer wavelength is fine for me, which mean no special maneuver is needed right?
Hello,
I am using TSMC 180 to design a CMOS imager. I wonder if I need to manually add a passivation opening to let light to shine on my photodiode. Thanks a lot.
Hello everyone,
I'm using TSMC 180. I have an area with lots of photo diode where I don't want any metal to be auto filled in. I know there is a blocking layer for this purpose, but I cannot find it. I searched "blk" and only found ODBLK and POBLK. Can anybody give me a hint on this layer? Or...
Hi,
I am using TSMC 180 and trying to clear metal density errors with auto dummy fill. I have a file called "Dummy_Metal_Calibre_0.18um.214a", which TSMC says this is the Calibre dummy metal insertion runset. I tried to load this file as runset in DRC, but it was not recognized as a runset...
