    u can use softwares like "A2D test softwares" instead of evaluating AT commands on hyper terminal. Check for the software which your GSM modem supports.     As you told i have'nt closed s8 and s9... and the switch s2 in the kit is given for selecting two frequencies from 4 mhz/20mhz. i tried on both but to no result. And 1 more thing is, when i reset my whole circuit...the 8 led's shown in above segment blink in a specific pattern after resetting...
