Please recommend transistors for wideband highpower PA

Try seaching in MA/COM. They have some wideband high power MOSFETs.

Looking for documents about wake-up circuits

Hi all, Do you have any documentation or experience in building a wake-up circuit? I am building high power amplifier arrays. And in order to solve the heat problem, I plan to trigger the power supplies and thus want to use the same thing used in the cell phone. Thanks, James

    SPICE model of transistors

Thanks. I do have their spec. Instead of putting all the values into a txt file that AWR can read, is their a more accurate model for me to use? Say a model with output capacitandce, feedback capacitance. I have used Infineon transistors, they all provide equivalent circuits that you could put...

    SPICE model of transistors

Hi all, I am having trouble when I tried to simulate RF PA circuits using AWR Microwave Office. I contacted the FREESCALE SEMI and they said they won't provide any model due to privacy. ADS does have some. Do you have any idea how I can get those high power RF power transistors, say MRF171A...

    Power MOSFET over 30W?

Hi thanks very much. I checked the spec but I am not sure if it can operate at 200MHz? I want to build Class D amplifiers working at 200MHz.

what's the meaning of sub-octave and 1/3 octave bandwidth

octave bandwidth definition Yea, thanks for that. For example, one octave bandwidth means the bandwidth is equal to the lower frequency. What about sub-octave and 1/3 octave? Thanks.

what's the meaning of sub-octave and 1/3 octave bandwidth

1/3 octave bandwidth Hi all, Stupid question here. But I did not find any definition on the Internet. Thanks for helping. James

    Power MOSFET over 30W?

Hi, I want to find some power MOSFET over 30 watts, and hopefull internally matched. The frequency it is operating is 200MHz and the bandwidth needs to be only several k. Do any of you have any experience in that? Thanks, James

    anyone works on MRI hardware

I am working on transmitter for the tranmist SENSE right now. I have started for nearly 8 months and found it really amazing. It is a bit more specific than general RF engineers. What kinda coils are you working on by the way? Are you in the States?

    anyone works on MRI hardware

Hi all, I used to work on W-CDMA PAs and now I am working on MRI hardware for my PHD. Anyone works on that as well? Maybe we can share some ideas. James

card edge connector in PROTEL DXP

connector dxp library Hi all, I am trying to find 62-pin card edge connector in PROTEL DXP library. Anyone has any idea where I can get it without drawing it by myself? And one more question, if the card edge is not gold-plated, how much will it affect the board? I am using it as DC supplies...

Help on complete control on RF current

I am trying to build something to completely control the phase and amplitude of the RF current (linear to the input power). What I used before is simply a MOSFET and I find it does not work well in high power region (~42dBm). Could you think of anything else that could work the same as a MOSFET...

How to make the amplifier output be like a current source ?

Re: rf current source Well, my problem here is the power level is nearly 30dBm. Most BJTs cannot operate linearly at that region. I am thinking of using MOSFET at the saturation level. But at the same time, the linearity is sacrificed a lot. That troubles me a lot.

How to make the amplifier output be like a current source ?

rf current source I have problem building a current source. I need the output of the amplifier circuit to be like a current source. Any suggestions for that? And I might need to control it freely.

Help me control the VGA with digital interface

VGA help I am trying to build a single-channel transmitter of a medical system and later extend to multi-channel. I tried to use vector modulator and VGA to make it work. But the problem is the control of the VGA. I am not familiar with the digital interface (if I am using a digital variable...
