Hi, I need help with ADS. I was trying to simulate a simple problem using ADS simulator which is "calculation of scattering from a PEC cylinder". I know this problem is present in literature and solved analytically but I need to solve it using ADS.
Does anyone know if ADS can solve this...
If epsilon is pure real then all frequencies should reflect similarly. I don't know much about your example but may be there was sigma in the dielectric.
Dear all,
I have a simple problem in HFSS which is that I cannot get the reflection coefficient from dielectric correctly on 30 GHz-->35 GHz frequency range. I have 2 layers, one of them is of relative permittivity 15 and the other layer is air. If a plane wave is incident from air region to...
Dear All,
Please I need a Matlab code in Conformal FDTD. That 's for simulating a 2D dielectric cylinder. If you have a code then great if you know where I can find it I will be so grateful too
Thanks in advance
Dear all,
Hope u r fine. I just wanted to ask about XFDTD 6.3 if I can make a 2 dimensional scattering simulation on it or not? I noticed that it has a 2D button which when pressed a 2D window shows up but this window is not interactive except for drawing some shapes...I'm never able to...
Does the arc length increase with r? This is the point which I object about as what you get in the line(delr*delphi) is not the arclength except for the innermost ring of variables only...when you increase the radius (i.e. calculate at a further ring from the center point) the arc length should...
Hi Alperuslu,
What I understand from your code is that your code is 2D code for a cylinder and you create a wave from space position 100,100 :
1-When you defined delr and defined delphi you defined 2 different values for dimensions so you should care about how to calculate the unified time step...
Dear all,
I'm facing a problem with CST microstripes...Every time I run the TLM solver, the following error prevents me from getting the scattering parameters...
Error Number 921:Initial modes are used to establish a mode profile to launch into a port. The mode profile is calculated using...
Dear all,
I need to get reflection (Gamma) for a plane wave incident on a half-space dielectric...This is needed for a broadband so transient analysis is the best way to do it...I ran the simulation but no result related to reflection is obtained in 1-D or 2 or 3-D results....Any ideas?
A CST question: How can I use time domain solver to get S11 frequency response? I read in the manual that we can do that by Transient Simulator "Broadband calculation of S-parameters from one single calculation run by applying DFT’s to time signals" but i don't understand what does that mean...
I mean here that there must be some other way to add ports which excite this sample...these ports should be able to capture S11 (or let's say reflection) from this half-space dielectric...in my case it is multilayered...does anyone here know how to do that?
