what i worry about is the third order distortion of IF signal mixes that of the second LO. for instance, the IF is 200MHZ, after external LC BPF or SAW filter, an on chip IF VGA is following. due to the third order intermodulation of IF VGA, third order distortion will be appears...
after the first mixer, i use an IF VGA before second mixer, the third order intermodulation of IF VGA will mix with the third distortion of the second mixer, not the frequency plan
i am designing a superheterodyne receiver, but i wonder my IF VGA. (first IF :180MHZ), i found if IF VGA has third order intermodulation, and it will mix with third order distortion of LO, which will locate in bands,is this a serious problem?, who can give me some advice or refernces?
Re: how to design a IF input stage for superheterodyne recei
LC matching is used when frequency is higher than 500MHZ in most commercial product, why?
Added after 2 minutes:
i mean when frequency is lower than 500MHZ, few products use LC matching
Re: how to design a IF input stage for superheterodyne recei
may i use CS IF input stage and a resistor is add between GATE for matching? my IF frequency is about 200MHZ.
Re: how to design a IF input stage for superheterodyne recei
i know the first IF stage must be matched with BPF,but what structure of the input stage is used usually in superheterodyne receiver,CS,CG,CD?,thanks!
who can tell me how to design a IF input stage for superheterodyne receiver
the IF frequency is about 180MHZ,and followed by external LC BPF.
as i known, the IF LC BPF must be match with IF input stage, but i don't know how to design it.(if the BPF matched resister is low, is it necessary to...
thank you!!
yes,i mean how to determine LO and IF for a new transceiver and how to analysis spurious.
i known some excel sheet can calculate spurious, but it is too easy. ADS may be a choice for RF budget but for spurious analysis.
cystal oscillator
who can give some reference about design ESD for low power crystal oscillator?
for instance, ESD for 32.768Khz OSC, must be low leakage ESD
thanks
