Converting Variable Frequency TTL to fixed amplitude sine wave

Little old school solution: TTL pulses drive an amp with LC tank and its C is changed by rotating capacive trimpot with stepper motor. The const. amplitude of LC is held by simple feedback. Also changing the L is possible by inserting core inside coil by stepper motor.

    Flyback pulse from forward transformer.

When inductor is disconnected from supply a huge negavive pulse is developed across with very sharp rising edge. But does the same happen when disconnecting transformer? I tried this, the voltage pulse is developed but rising edge is more flat. Is it ok or i am doing something wrong?

    Open-collector R2R DAC

I am not sure how to connect the weighted resistors. But I have an idea to enable 4 current sources (1,2,4,8mA) by these open-collectors and supply some resistor. It should be pretty linear, isn’t it?

    Open-collector R2R DAC

Thx Klaus, that is also an option. I wanted to be sure there is no another solution like using pullup’s as part of ladder or similar.

    Open-collector R2R DAC

Thx, 4bit resolution (16 levels). 5% accuracy is enough. It’s just for generating a waveform close to sine-wave as a reference for pwm to drive small motor.

    Open-collector R2R DAC

Hi, is there some option to make DAC from just open-collector outputs? A common R2R ladder is probably not possible since it is not able to supply a full current through collector resistor.

Electronic Conferences - how it works?

Thx Stenzer, I am not a phd student now. I was a 10y ago for a 2y but I didn’t finish because I had some health trouble. Also I am not an IEEE member. I am looking for publishing in two areas: Analog design (about improving op-amps) and Power Electronic (improving magnetic and also design of...

Electronic Conferences - how it works?

Hi, I am trying to find out how to get my research paper on some el. conference to be published. All conferences I found have a registration fees about 1000 Eur. I’d like to ask if it is common or I am just unlucky. This fees are too high according my opinion. If that’s common the research is...

    Transistor amplifier topology

When you mention large signal, if i look at datasheet of C1815, it has a constant Hfe in whole range of Ic. Shouldnt be linearity good?

    Transistor amplifier topology

Hi, thank you, I think class A is good for this purpose. The colector will supply very light circuit like this simple comparator:

    Transistor amplifier topology

Thx, -regarding to R4 = 160k, i need a time response to 100ms (i didnt mention :)), R4 must be lower -regarding to R5 and R7, i need better output impedance , R5 = 2K2 is maximum alowable resistance, 4 comparators connected directly to collector will destroy the output voltage. -i must put a...

    Transistor amplifier topology

Thx, of course, I will not to try to do a impossible things. I cannot increase a supply voltage, but i can change the output range (i choosed +1 to +7V very raw). The condition is to make the output as wide as possible to prepare hight resolution for next circuits like comparator. Can u pls...

    Transistor amplifier topology

Ok, this is the schematic: its an serial RLC circuit fed by square wave. I measure the amplitude of R1 voltage (the maximal value). So i rectify it using diode D1 (it will cut the negative part of voltage) and filter it by capatitor C2. Please dont take the waveform diagram accurate, its...

    Transistor amplifier topology

Hi, thx, -input is from +1 to +2 volts -output is from +1 to +7 volts -i need only the inverse signal -the function should be linear, I am using C1518 gr3k transistor, seems its Hfe is constant. I am asking about if the biasing is needed, if i have enough input voltage to drive Bjt directly...

    Transistor amplifier topology

Hello, I need to scale a DC voltage from range <1 - 2V> to range <1 - 7V>. I can use a single transistor amplifier circiut, becouse I need also inverse this signal. But what I am interested is if have enough voltage level on input (more than 0.7) if is an R17 need, another words, if I can use...
