what is the speed of usb2.0 and 1.1
As far as I know, there are some electrical difference between USB 1.1 and 2.0. As you can see, USB 2.0 also support Full speed and it's backward compitable with spec 1.1. Many companies usually say that they meet spec 2.0 even only support full speed...;)

Why use TCL/TK?
I am the user of Perl....Is there any converter for perl to tcl ? or bidirection converter is even better...There are several eda tools made by Perl, I just don't know why they don't support perl....It's will be better if perl interpreter is insided....;)
about clock recovery
For my opinion, just search about the reference of DLL(Delay Looked Loop) and apply it not only clock recovery but also data extraction. Hope this is helpful for you...;)
about verification
I am also the supporter of system Verilog, though I am not familier enough...:) I am also the user of verilog now...;) I think learning system verilog should be more easiler than system C for me..:)
chicken_feet, Has you studied the host spec for OHCI or UHCI ? If not, I suggest that you should study it first in order to know the tasks that host should do. After that, I think you may know the real problem for 8 bit mcu to implement functions of host mode.
