Re: Multilayer inductor parameter measurement with VNA
How about my measurument methodology? Is it legit at least in theory?
1)Measure shorted IC pads (parasitics).
2)Measure inductor (DUT+parasitics).
3)Subtract one from another to get R and X of DUT.
Multilayer inductor parameter measurement with VNA
I made some multilayer inductors in standard CMOS process with variable inductance. Design principle is similar to this example :
Park, P.; et al. 2004. Variable Inductance Multilayer Inductor with MOSFET Switch Control, IEEE Electron Device...
I connected second MPU to different microcontroller, so it would not be connected electrically with a quadcopter and mounted MPU on board with two sponges from both sides of MPU. Results were pretty much the same. Then I put MPU between two copper clads and connected them to quadcopter ground...
Yes, but I didn't put much force or weight to hold quadcopter, because all its base is just a PCB and it's quite elastic, I don't want to damage the board.
Hello,
I'm in process of making a quadcopter. At this point I encountered a problem with MPU-6050 angle calculation.
When quadcopter is stationary with motors in off state and I'm tilting it, angle readings in all 3 axis is good, but when motors are in on state, readings starts to jump all over...
Thank you for the link, but main question still remains. How this efect time related operations? I assume that delay() will calculate how much NOP instructions it has to be done with 16MHz clock, so with 12MHz clock time delay won't be that I want, because NOP instruction now will take longer to...
Hello, I want to use Arduino compatable 328p in my project. All other devices runs from 3.3V, so I want to use one power supply. I successfully burned bootloader and blink sketch into new atmega, then disabled brown-out. All worked fine with 16MHz crystal, but according to 328p datasheet, with...
Hello,
I uploaded thermistor firmware to XRF module and now it's responds just to "+++" command over serial monitor, also heartbeat led is always on. From my researches I think XRF is in bootloader mode, but I'm still not sure. I tried several firmware versions with two diferent modules, all is...
Thank you aminpix for that thesis, at this point I'm too considering use MCU for zero-crossing detection. I came around this application note from Microchip: Sensorless BLDC Motor Control with PIC16. It has a schematic and code for PIC16F690 in C. So I think I will try to alter the code for my...
I'm pretty sure that this isn't an original chip, one of those cheap module from ebay, thats why my first thouth was that drivers bricked it. Yes I chose correct COM port, checked it on device manager. Also when I tried to read eeprom from Ubuntu with ftdilib example it succeded, but serial-test...
Hello,
I purshased **broken link removed** from ebay, but I can't make it work. For a test I programmed an Arduino UNO to serial print a number, increment it and delay for one second. When I hooked up FTDI it didn't show anything (I tried the same with USB2SERIAL light module, all worked fine...
Well I searched a lot for similar chips, but all I could find was similar chips in small packages for computer fan like aplications, nothing with large currents, I chose MTD6505 because it was cheapest in my local electronics store. Yes in datasheet its not information for phase detection, but...
Hello,
I want to make the electronic speed controller for sensorless BLDC motor. I came across driver chip for this aplication from Microchip: **broken link removed**. Max current for this chip is 1A and I want to drive a motor with max 10A current. So I made a schematic in which MTD6505 outputs...
