Hi,
it is hard to understand what you mean from the replay above. So I understand that feeding lines (micro-strip) have large relationships, but what can be done, just upgrading the system? Or maybe there is some other explanation? Because in near future we are going to purchase new PC for...
Hello,
I am having difficulties for simulating patch antenna array with ansoft designer. We designed 4x4 array and tried to do simulation, but we didn't succeeded to reach convergence until out of memory. So I split in half our array and got 4x2 but again the same problem with out of memory...

Hi,
Im a little confused. As I look into your plots I can't see the same values... I understand that shmit chart is correct and understandable to me. You just multiply RX to 50 ohm and in your example you got RX=1.4106+0.0248i so RX50ohm=70.53+1.24i ohm So I hope to see these values in your...
Re: HFSS Patch array problem
Hi again,
Now it seems ok. First I plotted at 6GHz and it was my mistake because resonant patch frequency is 5.5GHz and plot was with auto scale. As in your picture you used log scale and it can be seen resonant behavior of E field in the patches. I am attaching...
Re: HFSS Patch array problem
Hi,
the main thing I think why there is something wrong, because when you plot Emag on patch there is no field at all or very little on it and it is no expected resonance distribution.
HFSS Patch array problem
Hi,
I have modeled two patch array, but I cant seem to simulate it corectly. It solves for about 7 passes and converges. But when I plot E fields it is clear that something wrong is in the model. Please can somebody look at at and help me with this design?
Re: HFSS problem
I did a lot of training and had many totorials:) And I found what the problem was:) It was the strip lines who were imported from AutoCad *.sat format. The ends where lines touch the port was not perfectly fited:) With a lot of zoom I saw it.
HFSS problem
I modeled this design and when tryed to analyze error ocurred:
[error] Port refinement, process abc3d : There are no boundaries to define "WavePort1" correctly. This may be due to incorrect material definitions for those objects that make up the port surface. Please verify...
Hi, again
I worked on it and I think I did it, but I don't know is it correct. Can somebody check it? Tell me your opinion about it and what mistakes I did.
Ok I have some ideas now, but still hard to apply in reality. I am adding the project that I am trying to do. Can somebody modify it and put back here with corect feed. And is my project created good, acording to all rules?
Hi,
I am a biginer on hfss, after going throu the tutorials I still don't know how to feed a coaxial cable? And would be good some info on how to model a coaxial cable. I made it from cilinders: outer screen was made from two cilinders substracted one from other, inner conductor from cilinder...
