so I have used ident in Matlab to obtain a transfer function between my input (real) and Output(real) of a system which is frequency dependent. That is for a particular frequency and an input I would like to calculate the output. I hope this makes it abit clearer.
This is the output I obtained in Matlab. I'll give it a try and I'll see what I'll obtain.
Thanks

It seems my tf is completly wrong or I am doing the wrong calculations? Why is the calculated output is complex when it should be real?
Hi all,
I have used matlab to fit frequency data to a transfer function. The result is a rather complex transfer function shown below. The best fit value is 96%. Can you please guide me on how I can calcuate the output in the frequency domain given a single input value?
Thank you

ohh thanks for this...Just noticed that Matlab has a nice gui for Neural networks nnstart.
Thanks once again, very helpful. I'll give it a try and will let you know the outcome.
Hi all,
I am trying to obtain an empirical equation/model having 2 inputs (frequency and S11) and one output (a physical parameter)
I have done various simulations using CST of the System and now I am trying to relate S11 and frequency to a physical parameter. Any suggestions of how I should go...
Hi I am trying to solve the following equations using Matlab for C1, C2, C3 and C4. In real fact I only require C1.
C1-C2-C3-1=0
n*C2+C3/n+(d-1)*C4=0
C1+b*C2-b*C3-1=0
b*n*C2-b*C3/n-C4(1+d)=0
This is what I have input in Matlab but it seems its getting stuck because of the symbolic...
Hi all,
I have obtained the dielectric properties of biological tissue and I am trying to fit a cole-cole model to the dielectric const.
function diff = function_110502(x,freq)
diff = A+((B-A)./(1+(2*pi*freq*C).^(2*(1-D))))
X0=[set of initial conditions]'...
thanks for your reply. I appreciate that but is there a way in which I can move the calibration plane to the connector. I am reading about de-embedding process but I am totally at a loss.
Hello
I am trying to calibrate a R&S VNA for dielectric measurements. The configuration is the following:
Coax cable (2.4mm m) --> 2.4mm f to 2.4mm f connector --> (2.4mm m) Open-ended coax probe
I would like to calibrate up to the connector probe plane to which I will then connect the...
oh yes than you are correct. SAR values depend on conductivity. Changes in the dielectric properties does not affect the electric field though.
Body tissue are considered as lossy dielectrics and the conductivity of dielectrics increases with increasing frequency whilst relative permittivity...
Replace server name in license.dat with your computer name. Copy license.dat into the CST installation folder.
Run License Managaer & Start the service
When you run CST choose remote and input the computer name.
Hope this is helpful...If you do not solve it let me know.
Also I had a problem...
Skin depth is small at large frequencies....i.e the current density will flow mostly within the thickness equal to the skin depth on the conductor. Below this depth the current density drops to 1/e. Within the skin depth the SAR values are high.
