Dear Power Expert,
I got a question.
What would happen when you oring and output of an isolated flyback power supply(with output diode) together? One of them has a higher voltage than the other around 0.2-0.25 volts.
TIA for any comments.
KJ
Hi All,
We have a controller that can be configured as either Host and Device in software, not an OTG, but it can configure either way in software.
We want to implement the feature on our usb port so that i can be configured as either Host or Device.
The problem is on the different Vbus cap...
Hi Guys,
I've this question. I'm using a HDMI converter chip which convert from another display format to HDMI.
For the core voltage which run at 1.2V , they specify quite a tight requirement on core power supply: 1.1-.13.
I plan to use a fast transient LDO for this power supply since it's...
Hi,
Attached is the Idd of the same chip. If we directly calculate the current from power dissipation. It seem to be significantly different.
For example,
1.8V, Fs =48 KHz case. Current will be 27 mA to 102 mA which is significantly different from the spec. Idd at 7 mA.
Am i missing...
Can anyone help me here?
I'm trying to specify a current requirement for one of the DAC. It has following spec. Should I use Power Dissipation or Idd to calculate the current requirement?
Another thing is seem like it would draw less power the circuit from 3.3V(from power dissipation)...
Dear All,
I've a question.
I'm still not quite understand when we should use SRC(synchronous) and when we need to use ASRC.
For example, If I need to get the I2S audio stram form the HDMI receiver chip. Can I use SRC(synchronous)?
It look like if you want to play the audio from the USB source...
Hi All,
Fairchild FDV301 has Vth(max) at 1.06V I should be able to use it to reliably convert 1.8V LVCMOS level to 3.3V.
Is that correct?
Thank in advance for all help.
Dear All,
I'm learning to use Hyperlynx and trying to simulate a simple freeform schematic using SN65LVDS1/2, LVDS driver/receiver.
For some reason, common mode voltage of the LVDS output doesn't seem to be correct. Single end voltage at pin 3 and 4 is only around 400 mVolts instead of 1.2...
Hi There,
I've this question. We need to make a DVI to HDMI converter box for a DVI source with custom connector.
From a DVI source, it route through custom DVI cable and then to this converter box then to a custom HDMI cable to the HDMI receiver.
DVI Source(custom connector) ------(A: custom...
Hi All,
I need to feed the board power supply via a 3-meter cable(dc power supply is generating on the mother board). I just wonder how can we calculate a suitable de-coupling capacitor value in this situation? We always use a big enough cap and low esr type but is there any proper way to...
Hi All,
Anyone know a good book on image procesing(for camera), camaera design related book(SW,HW). Any good books that cover related topics.
Thanks,
KJ
Folks,
I'm designing a usb2.0 related things which require a connection between motherboard(host) and custom usb2.0 device. There's one document form intel called " Front panel I/O design guide". This document suggest to use normal 100 mil header for the internal connection for the usb. I'm...
Thanks WinRFP/FVM,
I've simulated the transformer seperatly. Now, I re-do the simulation again usnig coupled inductor and the value is close to the datasheet.
I'm interested about the winding capacitance measurement and simulation.
I found this method attached. Is this the method that you...
