need help with hfss inductor simulation

OK, firstly have you verified that you are getting the correct port impedance (50 ohm I assume) - this can be done by doing a ports only solution and then will tell you if the ports are setup correctly - this is the first thing to check

How to get a -5V (Vee) if I only have a power supply ?

Re: -5V Use an inverter such as the LM2664 from NSC

RADAR is completely new for me. Which book should I read?

Re: RADAR is completely new for me. Which book should I read For automotive radar you are probably looking at FMCW types, I have found a book by Scheer & Kurtz called "Coherent Radar Performance Estimation" excellent as a practical textbook

RF filter? Problems with CMOS at 868MHz

Re: RF filter? The reason is simply due to the resistivity of Si substrate - this means that very high Q's cannot be achieved SAW filters are normally produced on ceramic substrates enabling high Q's

    how design microwave power amplifier?

Firstly, you need to choose a device with the power you require over the frequency range (try Toshiba, Fujitsu) Use the Cripps method to design the output match point (see Cripps book) In order to achive the bandwidth (2 octaves - quite large) you will need to have a broadband match at the...

    wide band matching of LNA

For wideband matching you need to use multi-section matching networks and not just a single stub - the wider the bandwidth, the more sections you need Peter Abrie's book Design of RF and Microwave Amplifiers and Oscillators covers the topic of wideband matching very well

Help me understand the concept of bandpass

Re: Bandpass anyone? Bandpass filters are filters which only allow transmission of a certain band of frequencies and reject all others (in theory !) above and below Usually resonators are used to achieve bandpass filters, that is elements that have a very frequency selective response If you...

How to increase the transmission power in RF Amplifier?

Re: RF AMplifier In order to improve the transmission of your system you need to either 1) Increase your transmit power so that the signal will be detectable at a further distance or 2) improve your receiver noise floor so that it can detect weaker signals This is covered in any...

RF filter? Problems with CMOS at 868MHz

Re: RF filter? Hi, Inductors and capacitors in CMOS can be used to construct a filter with a Q of the order of 10 (maybe a little more) - this is mainly down to the Si substrate and cannot be overcome If I understand you correctly and you require a filter with a Q of 10,000 then CMOS is not...
