Hello,
We are using a converter with two galvanically isolated grounds. Each of this circuit ground is referenced to an isolated power supply ground. (Power supplies have the 3rd/safety terminal at the input connected to earth ground).
Additionally, topology control is performed by a PC...
1.- Where can I find ripple rejection? https://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/NCV4269-D.PDF
2.-If ripple rejection is OK. WHat about the noisy ground? Returns driving currents are on same ground as linear regulator. Will it affect? or will I have a clean regulated 5v line?
Hello,
If a 5v linear regulator is supplied by a 12 volts noisy line (the one that drives the mosfet gates), the regulator output will pick up that noise or it will be removed?
Thanks
Greetings
Ivenzar.
Long wire that connects load gnd and converter gnd may be suddenly disconnected on each side. So no resistive load can be included, efficiency also must be taken into account.
If wire is disconnected at converter side, we think a spark will occur damaging the converter due to high energized...
1.- Assuming, control is fast enough. Voltage spike comes from the wires. Best solution to protect the converter against sudden load disconnection?.
How much C shunt should I include? 1/2cv^2=1/2li^2? which voltage should I use in previous equation?
Is there another solution that not requires...
Buck is connected to a load thorugh long cables. When load gnd pin suddenly disconnects when converter is working, large voltage spikes are produced due to paristic wire inductance. Currents of 260 Amps and 10V flows through the coils before load gnd pin disconnection.
Someone knows a way of...
Hello,
I need a bjt transistor which provides a stable voltage drop on the pn junction. Voltage drop must be stable against temperature, vce and ic. Vce voltages will be lower than 10 volts and ic is less than 1mA.
Bjt voltage drop will be used as voltage reference for current limiting, so NPN...
Hello,
I want to start a freelancer career.
I would like to know if there is a suitable web or where we can find people needing electronics freelancers? Or a website to make themselves known and to be hired?
Thanks in advance.
Hello
I have seen many electrical vehicle battery chargers that employs a boost PFC and then a llc topology. Why batteries are not chargued directly by the regulated pfc stage without the LLC?
Thanks
Another easy option is sense on a low side mosfet when its turned off (while the one in the other branch is turned on). You can use a voltage divider in parallel with the low side switch in order to adpat the voltage and measure it directly from MCU ADC. You can sense to Vdc. This method avoid...
If you cannot use transformers... and keep high efficiency maybe you have to employ interleaved bucks.
As FvM says... i think it's not a good idea to use buck converter...but here it is a simple calculator to design it fastly...
