You are reading it exactly like I read it. Just to make sure I was doing things right, I took my source and just plugged +5V into pin 1 and then plugged GND into pin 2. Then I measured the voltage between pins 5 and 6. I read just a couple hundred mV. The readings from pin 5 and 7 was around...
Hi Guys,
I just ordered a DC to DC converter for a project I'm working on. I'm looking to power the positive and negative rails of an audio amplifier. I found on amplifier that I can feed 5 volts to and then get out + and -15 volts. The problem is I can't get the chip to work at all. I bought...
BradtheRad - Thanks for the help. The audio amp I am using has the ability to apply dc voltage to the microphone alone without the need of a resistance in line with the mic. I've pushed a mic on and off with only the audio amp on many occasions. Thanks again for the response though.

Hi Guys,
I am working on a preamp that has a bit of unconventional functionality. Below is the part of the preamp that I have got working to date.
An audio signal comes into the input on the left of the schematic, passes through a couple of DC protection caps, and passes into the SSM2019...

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to come up with an AM audio transmitter design. I've already got a few ideas but I'd like to be able to adjust the frequency anywhere from 100kHz to 2Mhz.
I thought about getting a 2MHz crystal oscillator and playing with the count to decrease the freq at discrete...
On-hook telephone voltage doesn't really give you any shock since no current is being pulled when the phone is in an on-hook condition. Off-hook it's only 30mA-40mA. The real kicker is the 90 to 110VAC from the ring voltage.
Practically, when I have 60Hz bleeding into my audio systems, I short my chasis gound or circuit ground to earth ground in the AC outlet and everything quiets down. If you don't have a good earth ground, the 60Hz could remain. The same might work with your application.
Thanks for the help guys. I used the splitter approach to break out DC and AC, now I just have to put it back together on a single pair of wires. Any suggestions. Thanks again.
Re: Zigbee or DTMF
I am not sure what transmission equipment you would want to use, but I can tell you that you do not need a telephone exchange in order to get DTMF out of a telephone. Sometimes you can take a normal analog telephone and apply a 9VDC battery to the TIP/RING pair on the phone...
I'll try to clarify the problem a little better. I have a two conductor line coming into my circuit. On this line is a digital AC signal with a bit rate of 512kHz with an amplitude of around 75mV (amplitude varies slightly from time to time). My objective is to clean up this line of its lower...
