Re: TEM Mode
1. Do not think about one or two conductors, both are transmission lines.
2. TEM line can transmit DC, TE,TM waveguide is not capable to do so.

F connectors work (more or less) well up to 1GHz. Above 1 GHz, only if the manufacturer specifies some value, than the connector perform so. Without written specification you should measure it, and probably the same manufacturer produces similar data for another lot of...

Downladable firmwares are available from the "E" versions only, and with special CPU unit upgrade for the "D" version.
For earlier versions the firmware is is in oldfashioned EPROMS, which should be phisically changed to newer ones.
