rlgc from s parameter
Hi all:
I want to ask you a question about how to extract
RLGC transmission line parameter from S-parameter.
For single transmission, the conversion between RLGC
and 2-port S-parameter is easy to find.
But for coupled transmission line--only two Tline, I have...
thermal analysis software for pcb
I think Ansys is among the best for solving
thermal problem.
I have used it to analyze flip chip underfill stress
under thermal cycles.
I am learning ANSYS EMax.
Can anyone show me the link to download the examples?
The installation contains help file, but there is no examples.
I am interested in using Emax to simulate microstrip.

frequency dependent rlgc
Guru:
I need your comment on extracting
frequency dependent RLGC of Transmission line.
For instance, because of skin effect, the
resistance per-unit-length is a function of frequency.
so are the other three--L,G and C.
Finally, user should get a R(LGC) Vs. frequency...
circuit optimization
Hi friends:
I have a simple question related to equivalent
circuit synthesize.
If I want to approximate a certain frequency
response--Z/Y/S parameter-- using a equivalent lumped network,
and if the topology (location of the R/C/L element and connection)
is fixed, how can...
further question
How about the solution of multilayer structure
with lossy (finite conductivity) material?
Is there any closed-form equation to calculate
conductance & capacitance (not closed-form Green's function)
for a classic structure, such as a metal-SiO2-Si microstrip
or CPW?
Thanks

2d capacitance solver
Hi, my friends:
Does any of you know which tool/solver
to use to calculate 2D capacitor(C) and conductance(G)?
I have used Ansoft Spicelink (2D) to calculate
C & G, but I want to compare the results with other
solver(s).
By the way, is there any tool which can do...
