friend,.you need to brush up your concept about layout design..first start from basics..build layout of an inverter circuit..make it lvs and drc clean..only when u solve the drc and lvs error ..u will get the clear picture..then think about complex circuit..ok..
check analogLib library..
open the layout window in cadence LAUNCH-> LAYOUT XL ..place all the required components and bulid the circuit..
Go through this tutorial before you start doing layout
i was designing a relaxation oscillator in tsmc 90nm technology..designed for 33khz.rpodw_m model resistor was used along with crtmom cap...i need 1Meg resistor value along with 13pF cap so as to design for 33khz operation. when i run the corner simulation ,huge variation of frequency of...
right now i just want to clarify my doubt regarding the propagation delay variation and frequency stability.sorry for multiple thread posting..need to know about the circuit just mentioned above
with temperature sweep frequency was not found to be varying here.but propagation delay was found varying.why is this so ? frequency and propagation delay are related, then why frequency is not varying with temperature sweep
i was trying to implement this cmos rc oscillator circuit in cadence.freq of operation 33khz. frequency was not varying much with temperature sweep..but propagation delay found varying sharply..
from the papers i read cmos based rc oscillators are found to be stable with temperature variation and supply variation (around .5 % ) but the propagation delay of the inverter which I used was varying a lot with temperature Since frequency of oscillator is inversely related to propagation...
hey @audioguru here the deciding factor of frequency is resistor and cap,do the propagation delay has any role in it ? For ring oscillator freq=1/2NTd right..? what about this condition
doubt in cmos rc oscillator design
