I am currently willing to design circuits using the Barkley's BSIMSOI model file. I have downloaded the verilog-A code, but during simulation in Cadence, it is asking for the values of the following parameters:
Name
Description
Units
Id
Drain current
amperes
Ig
Gate current...
Why are you so much worried about the version/setup procedure? any installation procedure in linux is easy if you know what u r doing & can become sketchy if u don't know. Anyway, the best thing for u is to install 'wine' first & then u can easily install the windows version of xilinx in ubuntu..
Can you please explain me more about that 'Cgd crosstalk'... I know the transistors consists of several junction capacitances, but I didn't understand that voltage shift.. please explain it a little more..:(

This is a simple problem that has been haunting me from a very very long time.

Only one thing I would like to mention is that,
the line you mentioned is for the ".bashrc" file. Whenever setting for a ".cshrc" file, the command will be:
"setenv CDS_Netlisting_Mode Analog"

ok, first I have installed Cadence IC5141 Hotfix,ICC11241.. Do I need to install SPB162 or 163?
& Do I need PACIFIC61? I intend to simulate circuits & make layouts.

I have done a layout of the simple voltage divider circuit using the RNNPO_RF model file in UMC018 library.
Now, It was showing incomplete...

I have also faced a similar problem..Why don't you upload screenshots of your schematic & the corresponding Layout.. It will help me to understand the problem better....
I found one of the members have installed IC5141 in ubuntu 10.04. Have anyone tried installing one in the latest ubuntu 10.10? I am going to give it a try if anyone can help me out on this...
