Im in the process of learning embedded stuff.. getting the hang of anlog stuf then later some digital and then after do my micro programing.
I kinda dabbled into a ti fuel gauge datasheet just so i can see how comfy i understand reference designs and they got this .1uf cap accroas the charge...
Makes sense. I'll do one at a time. First i'll go through those 600+ slides on the 8051 and today i'll order a usb to serial adapter for my laptop, buy pickit 3 (i'll need it later), buy the atmel 8051 chip and a few parts and grab the 5 v from the pickit 3 to power the chip and go from there...
This book i found teaches you C with the intent that you will do embedded programming.
So what i'm going to do is go over the book "Embedded C Programming & Microchip Pic" while i'm going through 8051 stuff. I found over 600+ slides that this guy created that goes over Mazidi's entire book...
Right now I'm stuck with a few options.
My goal is to be able to programming uC but I need to pretty much relearn C because I did it a while back.
Right now i'm going over 8051 and was thinking of going over the entire C kandR book.
In the book they just have things that will get you started...
is that some sort of feature that the software gives where u output to that specific format that the sprawyer can recognize?
Do you only put notes that pertain to con formal coating to only appear and hide all the fab notes for the board house?
I do my layouts in Altium and sometimes I need to conformal coat the boards and certain areas need to be masked.
Currently I just take a print screen of the board in altium, add hatched box on the places I want to mask in paint and then import the picture into a solidworks template and send it...
Is it ok to place components on both sides? I tend to try and sqeeze everythign on one side.
Is there any logic i need to go through if placing components on the back side of the board. Anything I should be watching out for?
How do I put a net tie on Layers 2 of my 4 layers board.
This is how I have it:
Signal
GND
VCC
Signal
I want to tie all the different grounds on the GND (Layer 2) at a certain point and Altium is not letting me put my Net Tie on Layer 2.
How do I do this?
I am new here and this may be an easy answer for people here. I have trouble understanding this.
There are 4 LEDs hooked up comeing from the IC and they are to light up according to what happens within the IC.
But I don't understand this. All I see is them lighiting up all the time since...
