Hello,
I have Mean Well usp-350-3.3 power supply. This supply has 3.3V/70A (with air cooling) output but I need 1.2 V/50A output.
This supply has regulated output voltage in range 2.7 - 3.6 V using potentiometer.
My question is: If I change potentiometer and voltage to 1.2V power supply will...
Problem is with ripple. Example - If I set 172.5 V I have between 172.2 and 172.7
My ref voltage consist of REF02, operation amplifier and potentiometer.
Maybe do You have any tested circuit for ref voltage in range 0-3 V ?
Hello all,
I am testing avalanche photodiode and I need power supply for breakdown voltage.. First I did circuit based on NE555, but precision was horrible (about 2 V ripple, I need very stable voltage). Next I found an118 datasheet from linear. In this sheet is circuit (page 10, figure 24)...
So,I was checking current on multimeter. First, I was loading current about 5 A and testing about 2-3 minutes- was ok (but coils were very hot). Next I increase current to about 10 A, after 5-10 seconds I was feeling smoke.
I'm thinking why, datasheet say: up to 65 A, I had 10, so this is 17 %.
Rsense - what do You mean by Rsense ? If You look on circuit in LTC3738 datasheet (page 30), You can see Sense 1 - 3 and resistors. In this point I have the same like in datasheet - 0.002 ohm.
4 10W resistors in parallel (result 0.2 ohm) - I plugged to output from all circuit.
I set 1.3 V. and I plugged 4 10W resistors in parallel (result 0.2 ohm). Smoke was from transistors.
"best thing is to use current regulation using very low Rds mosfets"
Any example ?
I built this circuit myself base on datasheet. Voltage I set by combination beetwen VID0 - VID5. I tested this circiut with resistors - 0,2 ohm. Circuit worked about 1 minute, after this I saw smoke.
Ok, my mistake.
But I will prefer something with labolatory supply. For transformer I have to wait about two weeks and is to expensive for me in this moment.
I read about atx supply, I have one - 200w with ka7500b IC.
It's possible to use this supply ?
