pls do not try directly soldering it to the pcb if u r not sure about the circuit operation. if there is any falt in the component placement, it may lead to overvoltage at printer port pins. this has got a great chance as we are using 13v in the pcb.

I need a speech synthesiser / text to speech IC to connect it to a clock made using PIC 16F84. Is there any such ICs available in the Microchip stack. I would like to get it as a sample piece so that i can complete my design.

am using propic2 v2. if i insert wrong chip otherthan configured in the software, will it destroy the chip? or is the software verifies that the right chip is inserted and then start programming?
I am planning to study c2c pic compiler. but i dont know how better it is. i have a copy of that software. if u hve come across any problems with it, pls inform
