    uhh , Lm358 is power amplifier..as i said before use Lm35 temperature sensor ic ,, just A 3 pin ic ,, n it will solve ur purpose.. ir sensors like tsop just produce a voltage signal in response to the falling ir wave on them.. u can use a ir sensor but then u ll have to use a extra circuitry to...

    hey , to sense fire just use a simple LM35 ic n fix a preset temperature on it using a voltage divider circuit and from the o/p of lm35 activate a fire extinguisher.dat will solve ur purpose ..
