I don't know that there is a way to figure that out. What is it from who makes it?

it is from Texas,
 

fedora 8 in X86_64 platform
 

hi,

Its always better to stick to the versions recommended by the EDA vendor.

Becoz tool will be much stable in tht version becoz tools are tested on standard platforms

u can get these details from release notes
