What's the difference between Ibis and Spice model?

Dear all,

Whats the difference between ibis and spice model?
and what is eye diagram?
Why its difficult to get the ibis model from the vendors?

SPICE models contains transistor level information which are confidential for vendor .These r slow for simulation but more accurate than IBIS models.

IBIS are like behavioral models of Buffer,thy do not contain transistor level informations and are easy to get from vendor.
