install assura site:edaboard.com

Assura 3.1.4 supports OpenAccess 2.2, p24. You must have OpenAccess (OA) shared libraries and binaries installed for Assura to support the OA database and functions. Please refer to the OpenAccess Installation and Configuration Guide for more information.

Assura for CDB will not work with an OA installation of DFII, and Assura for OA will not work with a CDB version of DFII. You must install a version of Assura that is compatible with the specific version of DFII that you may have installed. It is important to determine which version of Assura you are installing.

The installed Assura version can be determined from the banner of the "assura" binaries by executing assura -v from the command line. This returns details of the specific Assura version such as:

@(#)$CDS: assura version av3.1:production:dfII5.1.41 08/17/2005 03:32
This can be interpreted as follows:

Production:dfII5.2.51 defines the CIC OA 2.2 release.

Production:dfII5.1.41 defines a CIC CDBA release.
