hi, everyone

Datasheet says NC pin of all 18 pins exist. For what kind of use?
Thanks

hi

NC means no connection.
Can you tell which specific IC you are asking about?

hi
Khurram is right...

In general
NC denotes -> No Connection...

U have to give specific IC details

DS90C031B DIP package, a driver circuit of LVDS interface,
you mean different NC from different IC even if no connection?

In most case, NC = no connection, more accurate is "No Internal Connection". And on boards these NC pins can be left unconnected, or connected to elsewhere at your convenience.

However, in some, very rare, cases, with some ICs, NC does not really mean "No Connection", it can be connected internally with substrate for examples, so it really means that "No Function" instead, and you cannot connect it at your convenience.

So, although with NC "no connection" pins of ICs, you had better to consult datasheets before connecting or leaving them float on boards.

Thanks for your help

NC means No Connection. A component is a representation of a logical symbol and a physical package. The logical symbol need not to be assigned to all the pins in a package eg: in case of an Opamp. Thus the package represents that connections as NC.
