Hi, I am looking for soldering tools and surface mount components. I am searching online. There are some companies I know such as Digi-Key, Farnell and RS. The last two are not US-based. Their shipping fee are high. Digi-Key has only text info about their product, Sometimes I have to guess what the thing is by its description.

Can you give me other US companies' name doing the same job? Thanks

In fact , digikey has excellent catalog. Look at this page :

try mouser

https://www.mouser.com/

although digikey is ok with us. we only buy from mouser those resistors that is Pbfree and value is below 10Ohms

When shopping for parts, go to the manufacturer web site to get data sheets, full part numbers, and the names of their distributors. Then go to the distributor web sites to get price and availability.

Digikey and Mouser are very convenient for small orders. Many Digikey items have clickable links to manufacturer data sheets.

For tools and miscellaneous parts also try Newark:

The big distributors are great, but you may have to buy a whole reel of parts. Examples:
