Hi,
UCC2817 datasheet page 1 says its only for <300W. Surely not?

Also, its app note (below) has a soft start cct that the designer must add in...surely this is a waste of time?....the UCC3817 has both OVP protection, as well as a peak current limit.
Also, what if , as is usual, somebody delays the start-up of UCC2817 till the inrush resistor has been switched out etc?.....the shown cct will be non-operational then anyway...as its capacitor will have charged up...
