When I connect using J1708 on some vehicles I get all of the VIN, Mileage, Hours and so-on but when I connect to the same vehicle using J1939, some data never arrives? Example, no VIN on a John Deere, see snapshot below, Can companies like JD use Proprietary SPNs to send common data? or do they have to use SPNs that are available and only use Customer Specific SPNs for data not covered in J1939?
