dear all

i need to know what is the importance of the sync on green signal in some VGA interface also blanking signal

wait your reply
regards

Hi,

I think nowadays nearly no VGA card/monitor do use the sync on green.
All use separate horizontal/vertical sync signals.
(horizontal and vertiacl blanking is still needed)

To my understanding in different up to date (HD)TV standards a sync on Y( or G) is still used

in YPbPr input signal , the sync is on the Y signal like SOG , and the sync signal should be extract from it.

so the sog likely configration is still useful.
