TFT timing controller
It seems that stand-alone timing controllers exist on manufacturer websites, however datasheets for such devices are virtually impossible to find, and part stores don't even know about such part numbers.
For example, Himax has a range of timing controllers:

for example HX8819
and also this range of products:

seems to be pretty much what I need for my TFT, but no datasheets and no sampling or small quantities are available.
Am I heading into the wrong direction? Can someone please suggest anything sane? How to deal with 10.2" TFT with no TCON on board? Is the turn to FPGA side maybe better solution?
