Hi All,
I need to find a 16 bit device which has at least 12 analog inputs (12 channel mux) plus 6 pwm outputs (my application is a 6 channel maximum power point tracker) and a few other more common features (i2c, a multiplier, risc architecture and so on).
I would very much appreciate any comments as I don't even know well the different manufacturers of 16 bit mcus Even just a list of 16 bit mcu manufacurers worth having a look at would be great to have to start my investigation.
So far, I've had a look at Microchip devices. They have 16 channel adc devices available but 5 pwm outputs seems to be the maximum. I've also looked at TI's MSP430s, with upto 7 pwm outputs available (timer B7 module) but a maximum of 8 input adc!
What's a good next step? How about Motorolas, any good for my application? Also I've heard of a few other MCU manufacturers such as Hitachi, Nec, Oki but I'm absolutely clueless.
Thank you very much for any comments.
All the best,
Alex
