Steps fpr interfacing PC with Atmega32

How should we wire the RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, RI, DCD pins of the RS-232 cable connected to the Atmega32 , so as to send data to the PC. Upon powering up the Atmega32 i expect a stream of data flow to begin , which will be displayed on the Hyper-terminal of the PC.

you only need three connections from AVR, RXD, TXD, GND, then set Hyper Terminal flow control to none.

 

[funnynypd]

A simple communication only need RXD, TXD and GND.
