Hi,
Iam planing to design a static voltage regulator

input voltage : 150 to 490V
isolated. using ~9 taps
SCR drive

i need to design a controller which will be able to transfer the tap with out damage or short or two tap on at the same time.

please share the experience.

Hi

Use MOSFET AC switch instead of SCR the efficiency is higher

Besicly you will need a FAST microcontroller to read and analyze the AC signal in order to close the right switch

All the best

how do we find if one of the SCR is short ?

Do any one have experience in protection topology for the switching device used.

i also needed full desing of transformer taping changing using SCR ,control circuit design,if any one can help kindly contact at 09460125620 .
