Setup and hold time calculations

Hi,
If Setup time is violated,then to fix the timing we increase the size of launch flop such that delay of cell decreases and timing will be met...,But by decreasing the size of capture flop how can timing met....,

To my understanding, both the synthesis and P&R tool have the size-up/down function. You really don't need to size the cell manually.

Compare the setup time in capturing flop for two different drive strength but similar cell in standard cell documentation. If they are different, there is your answer. If not , I do not see how by decreasing the size of capturing flop helps in meeting setup timing.

Decreasing size of capture may help in meeting hold violations...but not setup.
