RF CMOS AP or RF GaAs AP?

I will attend the lab for AP, the tutor give me two choices, RF CMOS AP and RF GaAs AP,as my Ph.D interest, which one should I be for? I wish to get a good job in world-class, such as TI, or to be a postdoc in USA. Could I get some advice form the esperts?

RF CMOS is becoming the future trend especially in IC for wireless trend.
While GaAs is already used and quite mature
