resistor and voltages

Hi ,
i wanna know what will be the voltage across a resistor it two different power supplies are connected to it parallely ,say 6v is caonnected to R1 in parallel and a 2v is connected to R2 in parallel? what is the voltage across resistor ? explain.
 

According to ohm's law V=IR. Connecting a battery in parallel to resistor, the resistor will be acting as the load. Depending on the value of your R1 and R2, the potential difference can be obtained using the law stated above.
 

the voltage drop in parallel combination is same so what ever the voltage provided by battery will be consumed by the load in this case resistor. but value of current might differ that depends upon V=IR.
 

Seriously speaking, apart from using the term parallel, the original post does not say how the two resistors and two power supplies are actually connected. The question starts by suggesting that two power supplies are connected parallel to one resistor, and then mentions a second resistor.

A certain degree of mind reading seems necessary to answer this "question".
