Recommend a cheap PIC programmer

You can buy Pickit 2 and pickit 3 from http://www.ebay.in.

hi, im looking to start some PIC projects and looking for cheap programmer to build at home.

thing is i dont know which programmer to build. im looking for a cheap and preferably programmed and powered by usb.

most important thing is, i dont need another programmer to program a chip to be used on the design.


ones that i know of:

JDM - seems to be rs232 which is okay

ICD2 USB
ICD2 clone - seems to be what im looking for, any reason i shouldn't use this?

GTP USB PIC PROGRAMMER (Open Source)
GTP USB - open source, i think i need to pre-program a pic for this o.0

i'm not sure which one is better.
