Hi

Remind me about Y-parameters in pasive network:

Is true that Y21 is equal to Y12 in two-input passive networks?

Thanks in advance.

Y-parameters

The y-parameters relate the currents at 2-ports with the voltages:
i1 = y11 v1 + y12 v2
i2 = y21 v1 + y22 v2

For a passive network (contains only R,L,C components and no transistors, dependant sources,....) The analysis leads to the fact that y12 = y21.

For a symmetric network
y11 = y22 and y12 = y21

Re: Y-parameters

of course it is so & it's due to bilaterality of such networks
