rom hexfile

hi,i'd like to load an hex file into the rom which is written in vhdl and then prototype this in FPGA.haw can i do it?

Re: rom hex file

hello, you can use matlab which can help you to convert decimal integer to hex format and write into a file with the vendor needed format.

the matlab function: dec2hex can help you.

good luck.

Re: rom hex file

Search for ppx16 on opencores.org or the web. There is a hex2rom utility in this pack that may help you. There is also a project on sourceforge.net aiming to do this.
