Problem with using the icfb & to start the program in a terminal

when typing icfb & to start the program in a terminal, the cadence ic 5141 will not close even the terminal is closed, but now this is not the case anymore, i don know which part i screwed, lookinf for some clue (the os is RHEL AS3).

Which shell do you use? Job control is different with different shells. For example, for zsh you should use &| or &! to terminate the command line.

you are correct, i should have used csh rather than bash, problem solved now.
