Dear all,
Can anyone explain in details about soi structure.why it is good/bad.what are the issues with structure.the i-v model for this type of structure.
Thanks.

The marketing literature and the various proponents have
thrown plenty of info out there. IEEE has had an SOI conference
for some decades now. I've spent 30+ years working in SOI of
various forms, which leads me to say "get specific". "This type
of structure", singular, says you know nothing and want
everything. That's unhelpful and too much. Film hicknesses
of 20+ um down to hundreds of angstroms, bipolar, MOS and
JFET, volts to hundreds of volts, each with its own oddities,
and you want it all in a little box with a bow on it?

I think the problem is laziness. Yours, you can do something
about. Mine, you're out of luck unless you make it a manageable
freebie you're asking for.

You are right. I am not getting where to look and where to start from. Can you point out from where should i begin?or suggest some articles maybe.
Thanks @dick_freebird.

Begin with the application (digital, analog, RF, power) and
the voltage & frequency of interest, which will lead you to
some capable technology node & foundry. Then you will
have "a" SOI technology and its suitability / quirks to focus
upon and dig for details.
