i'm repairing an old philips tv with chassis cto-90 and getting some problem.the right side to the middle of the screen is ultra bright while the left side is ok,there was some bad capacitor in the vertical section,i change and get same prob, can anyone plz help.

can anyone plz help,at least tell me in what section i must check.

Hi, this fault is common in old TV sets. This may be caused by ripple in the power supply (around 200V) of RGB output circuit. Look for dried up caps around CRT neck. These caps are usually rated 4.7-10uF, 200V. Also check the small caps around FBT. Small caps are hard to check so use a capacitance meter. Goodluck!
