Problem in Interfacing PIC with GSM module SIM300

hello,
i am working with gsm module sim300 and interfacing it with pic16f877a .i am
not getting any response from gsm modem except 'at ' in return instead of ok ,
can any one help me.i have a ready made board from market so there are no issue of interfacing.

check power key - to power on this module use power key. and check data sheet for power key operation.

The power key is, because the module works, the problem only with the module answer. The answer only CR LF and no "OK".
