Problem about NRW(Nicolson Ross Weir) method

In NRW method, it need to solve below equation to decide n so that the material of permeability and permittivity can be determined.

In TEM mode, tgn, Ls and lambda_0 can be obtained, lambda_c approaches infinite.
But how to solve differential part in the brackets by program? I currently use Python.

The NRW method was intended for non-transmission line waveguides. The extra terms were added to remove the effective of the dispersion of the waveguide. For TEM transmission lines, this is not necessary and your problem becomes simpler. In fact, it is called the Nicolson-Ross method. Weir added the waveguide correction. Take a look at Lecture 15 here:
