plz explanation abt loop and probe coupling

how does these work..more of an intutive explanation required...

and on wat basis ..we have to choose between these

as you know the magnetic field and electric current are related to each other by the first maxwell equation and also electric feild with magnetic current.

this means that every where a linear time harmonic electric current exist there is a magnetic field around it and vice versa. in fact a linear electric current could be source for a rotative magnetic field and a magnetic field could be source for a linear electric current.

now you suppose you have a closed recangular cavity contains 6 coductive faces it is not possible for outside waves to penetrate to this cavity and so they could not produce any internal cavity modes. but if you place a linear electrical current probe in this cavity it could produces magnetic field modes according to the first maxwell equation.
