Now-a-days in every interview of digital design engineer companies are asking for Scripting language or they are preferring Perl.How is Perl useful in digital designing or vhdl? When I went through perl, I did not find anything related to vhdl or digital.Please clear my doubt.

PERL is used to automate many of the laborious task in testing and implementation, such as testbench generation:



Other uses include:



Google "PERL VHDL" or "PERL EDA" and you'll get a multitude of applications in EDA.
