RF interconnect model

My techer let me to do the interconnect model for RFIC, how can I begin? If someone has experience about it, could you share with me? Thankyou very much.

Re: RF interconnect model

In general what you should probably do is to create spread RC model of the interconnect.
By that I mean to calculate the resistance and capacitance of the interconnect segments and create netlist from those elements.

At the end you will see that different portions of circuitry are on different VDD because of the voltage drop on bus.

What you will need is to find out the sheet resistance and capacitance of the interconnect and then just sit and do it.

I usually use C/2 R C/2 configuration of the elements but C R is ok.

Important thing is whether you are going to reference the interconnect to substrate (GND) or to WELL (VDD) or to defferent nets. Based on that you would be able to simulate for example crosstalk (well you will not get perfect model but anyway) .

You can also write a parasitic extraction for the circuit and do it that way if you wish to.

RF interconnect model

Are there some useful books?

I must add to inductor of interconnect, what should I do?
