camera flash

I want to make camera flash with 220 volt ac power instead of ocsillator and I need a circuit if any body help me.

and I want to control flash lamp with transistor so is it necessary to open the connect of ac power from flash capacitor. and so good if you know the current of flash at discharging of capacitor.

thank you

Look at www.fairchildsemi.com for PDF on switching small flash lamp with IGBT. You can use any general purpose IGBT with high current rating. IRG4PC50U for example (220A peak current).
Actual lamp current is determined by lamp type and power supply internal resistance. So add a current-limiting resistor 0.5 Ohm to you supply for initial experiments.
