Need a free spice simulator like ngspice - need opinion

Hi,

Can anybody point me to a free spice simulator like ngspice.
Am in need of a new simulator since ngspice doesnt support hierarchy.
.param is also pain in the neck and i have to modify the netlist to make it compatible to ngspice.

If somebody who has already worked on the design using free tools, please do point me to one such tool.
